HOW TO SEND YOUR KEEPSAKE

🌿 A Gentle Guide

Thank you for trusting Bloom in Memory with something so meaningful.

We understand that sending your keepsake is emotional. Please know that every package is handled with the utmost care, respect, and reverence from the moment it arrives.

Below is a simple step-by-step guide to help you prepare your keepsake safely.

✨ What You’ll Need

  • A small sealed bag (zip bag or small container)

  • A padded envelope (also called a bubble mailer)

  • A piece of paper with your:

    • Full Name

    • Order Number

    • Email Address 

Small padded envelopes can be purchased at your local post office, Walmart, or office supply store. We recommend using one with tracking for peace of mind.

 

📦 Step 1: Secure Your Keepsake

Place your keepsake material into a small sealed bag (Ziplock) or container.

If you are sending ashes:

  • Only a small amount is needed (about 1 teaspoon or less).

  • Please seal the bag tightly. 

For other keepsakes (fabric, hair, dried flowers, etc.):

  • Ensure they are fully dry before sealing in bag or small container.

  • Wrap gently if delicate.

If you are sending breastmilk: 

           Only a small amount is needed (approximately 1–2 ounces).

     Please follow these steps carefully:

  • Place breastmilk in a tightly sealed breastmilk storage bag or leak-proof container.

  • Double bag to prevent leaking during transit.

  • If frozen, please thaw it completely — preservation will still be possible. This helps ensure your order is processed on time.

  • Place the sealed bag inside an additional small zip bag for extra protection.

  • Wrap in tissue and place inside a padded envelope.

Breastmilk does not need to be shipped overnight. Standard shipping is perfectly fine.

📝 Step 2: Include Your Order Details

Inside the envelope, include a note with:

  • Your full name

  • Order number

  • Email address

This ensures we can match your keepsake to your order without delay.

 

📮 Step 3: Mail with Care

Place everything inside a padded envelope and seal securely.

We strongly recommend:

  • We recommend purchasing tracking (optional, but helpful for peace of mind) 

  • Keeping your receipt until we confirm arrival

Customers are responsible for shipping their keepsake materials to us. Please do not send the last of any material, as we cannot replace it. Depending where you are located USPS First Class Parcel may be the cheapest shipping possible for our customers. 

Orders over $150 qualify for free shipping when your finished piece is sent back to you!

 

🌿 Local Drop-Off Option (Elkhart, Indiana)

If you are local and prefer not to mail your keepsake, we offer a drop-off option by appointment. 

Once your order is placed, you will receive an email to schedule a drop-off appointment. For privacy and care, the exact drop-off location will be provided after your appointment is confirmed. 

 

💌 What Happens Next?

Once your keepsake arrives:

  1. You will receive a confirmation email within 1–2 business days.

  2. Your piece will be carefully crafted with reverence.

  3. Production time begins once materials are received.

  4. Your finished jewelry will be beautifully packaged and shipped.
